Bent Hansen’s first job was with his parent’s Mexican Restaurant – Poco a Poco. Bent quickly learned the business working alongside his parents and soon became an expert in the field. He then moved on to train with the national franchise Chilis, gaining invaluable knowledge that he would later use to open his own restaurant and very successful catering company in 1996 – Los Gringos Locos, located in La Canada, California.
Los Gringos Locos has been a great success, due in no small part to Bent’s operational and marketing skills. In 2008, he was named the “International Restaurant Marketer of the Year”. And has won several awards in his local community. Most recently being named the La Canada Chamber of Commerce Businessman of the Year.
Bent is one of the founding members of the Independent Restaurant Association. Bent has been a coach helping independent restaurant owners have more profitable businesses and better lives since 2018. He believes in helping Independent owners through education, support and community. His goal is to make sure every independent restaurant owner has access to the tools necessary to have a fun-to-run, easy-to-manage, profitable restaurant.
